At Misión Hope, we firmly believe that faith and compassion are the most powerful tools for transforming lives. Our mission is to empower communities and sow seeds of hope, and we are overjoyed to share one of our most recent impact stories from Cúcuta, Colombia.

We recently had the privilege of providing a grant of 2 million Colombian pesos to Profesor Alex Omar, a dedicated community leader whose passion for youth development through soccer is truly inspiring. His project isn’t just about the sport; it’s about building a supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

Through this grant, we were able to provide essential equipment to Profesor Omar’s soccer program: new jerseys, soccer balls, soccer goals, and cones. While these items may seem simple, they represent a vital opportunity for more children to have the tools they need to practice and dream.

The delivery of the grant was a moment of true collaboration and faith. Pastor Gerardo of the local Iglesia Nuevavida Cúcuta served as a key liaison, helping us facilitate the delivery. Beyond logistics, Pastor Gerardo brought a powerful word of faith and encouragement to the children, reinforcing the message that they are valued and have a bright future.

Seeing the joy on the faces of the young people as they received their new jerseys and soccer balls reminds us why we do what we do. Soccer is more than a game; it’s a school of life. Through it, children learn to be part of a team, practice discipline, and persevere through challenges. By investing in their passion, we are investing in their future and helping the

m build a strong foundation to overcome life’s obstacles.
